Professionally, they have served in higher education as a university lecturer and assistant, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, student supervision, and scientific research. In parallel, they have held key roles within the national health system, including epidemiological surveillance, clinical mentorship, hospital leadership, and coordination of priority health programs aligned with international standards. Their experience spans vaccination strategies, maternal and child health, emergency obstetric and neonatal care, data-driven decision-making, and health system governance. Adedeji Taiwo Olugbemiga is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at Osun State University, Osogbo, and a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital. He obtained his MBChB from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2001, followed by residency training in Otorhinolaryngology at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, culminating in FMCORL (Nigeria, 2012) and FWACS (ORL, 2014). He further enhanced his surgical expertise with specialized training in middle ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery in India in 2013. Over the years, he has held several academic and clinical leadership roles, including Head of the ENT Department at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital since 2022 and Associate Lecturer at LAUTECH. His research focuses on otology, rhinology, head and neck surgery, hearing disorders, and occupational health, with more than 25 published works, over 10 manuscripts under review, 471 citations, an h-index of 12, and an i10-index of 13. He has also contributed to consultancy projects such as audiometric screening and counseling for industrial workers in mining environments. With a strong commitment to advancing ENT practice and medical education, he continues to combine clinical service, research, and teaching to improve patient care and build capacity in Otorhinolaryngology.
