Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk is a distinguished scholar in the field of educational sciences, currently serving as Professor at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Education. He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle East Technical University (2014), an M.Sc. in Educational Sciences from the same institution (2008), an M.Ed. in Learning, Learning Environments, and Educational Systems from the University of Turku, Finland (2007), and a B.A. in English Language Teaching from METU (2004). He also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Columbia University, Teachers College in International and Comparative Education (2016) and earned a PGCert in Peace Studies from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand (2022). His academic career spans teaching and research roles at Hacettepe University, METU Development Foundation Schools, and the Turkish Land Forces before joining Boğaziçi University, where he became Associate Professor in 2023 and full Professor in 2025. With an h-index of 12, his scholarly contributions include 824 citations across documents indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His research focuses on curriculum development, international and comparative education, teacher training, and peace education.
